Alphonse Lavallee is particularly widespread in Lazio, Sicily and Puglia. It is intended to be eaten fresh.

Fruit: Cluster of medium size, compact, sometimes winged. Large, spheroidal berry, pruinose skin of medium consistency and blue colour.
Taste: Fleshy, juicy and sweet flesh.
