Hartley
Hartley variety is walnut cultivar with a long history. Nowadays it has become the "classic walnut"; it's the principal variety marketed inshell. It produces medium-size walnut, harvested late season. The thin-shelled, well-sealed nut is easy to crack.

Medium vigor tree, very productive. Tendency to apical fruit set.

Late blossoming period.
Maturation:
Late ripening time.
Fruit:
The shell is hard, light brown and thin. The shape of the fruit is very characteristic, 'triangular': it has broad shoulders and a flat anatomy of the nut crown.
Taste:
Very good taste.
