Reference variety of Actinidia Deliciosa all over the world. Hayward is definitely the most planted cultivar of Actinidia in Italy.

Plant of medium-high vigour, it shows an excellent productivity even if fructification is rather slow.

Late, about the last week of May (in original area). It needs a pollinator since it is not self-fertile.
Maturation:
Its maturation is medium-late and usually takes place at the end of October / beginning of November.
Fruit:
Medium size fruit (Hayward middleweight is about 100 grams), it has a chamois-brown skin colour and average tomentose.
Taste:
Flesh is bright green in full maturation, it has a good firmness and an excellent taste.
