Mela Rosa Marchigiana

Known from roman times, this cultivar got its name from the red-vinous streaks that overlap the intense green colour of the still not mature fruit. In order to avoid that humidity could damage the fruit in winter time, it was often conserved into straw, and this is why it is also known as "apple of the barn".

Tree: Vigorous and productive tree.

Flowering: Pollinators: Fuji Fubrax, and Golden Delicious B.

Maturation: Its ripening time is very late, post harvesting, almost in December, instead the harvesting occurs in September-October.

Fruit: Medium size fruit, with flattened and irregular shape; its skin is yellow with pinkish shades.

Taste: Its white flesh is crunchy, little acidulous and slightly sugary.
