Abate Fetel


Ancient variety of french pear of autumnal ripening.
Tree: Scarcely vigorous pear, with erect habit and very productive but incostant.
Flowering: Suggested pollinators: Kaiser, Conference, Passa Crassana, Coscia, Butirra Hardy, Decana del Comizio, William, William Rossa.
Maturation: Medium-late, about +22 William.
Fruit: Yellow-green fruit with brown overcolour and with several visible lenticels of large size; it has big size and the traditional elongated shape with maximum diameter towards the base.
Taste: Its whitish flesh is very firm, juicy, slightly acid and very sugary.
