Missionario Chiandetti


Among the species of Actinidia, there is also the Actinidia Arguta. It grows wild in China and in Russia: Arguta is very hardy and resistant to cold. It produces bunch of kiwi, very small compared to the classic fruit. The small round fruit is smooth, the skin is very thin and edible. Very good taste, rich device. There are several varieties of Argute with different size, color and fertility.
Tree: Arguta plant is very similar to classic kiwi plant: a very vigorous vine with erect branches, support-required.

Flowering: Earlier blossoming period than the standard kiwi. Partially self-fertile variety, it needs Cornell (or other male kiwi with an overlap in flowering) for pollination.
Maturation: September in Italy.
Fruit: Missionario Chiandetti cultivar produces small fruits, which become an intense color from red-green to red-purple (matured) on the entire surface. M.Chiandetti has smooth skin and round shape. Average size (about as Ananasnaya, on 3g).
Taste: Very good taste, sweet and aromatic. It has very good properties for health, also rich in Vitamin C.
