Sorrento


It is the most spread variety in Italy, with medium vigour and upright habit. It produces medium size fruits, oval shape and of good quality.

Maturation: Medium-late ripening time, it focuses in September and October.
Fruit: The nut is elongated, regular, slightly pointed in the peak and blunt at the base. Valves are smooth and thin.
Taste: The kernel presents an extremely pleasant taste, little oily and creamy white colour. One of its main characteristics is that, unlike other cultivars, the kernel can easily be extracted intact.
