Farold® 87

Farold® 87 exhibits medium-low vigor, slightly lower than that of the BA29 quince rootstock, ensuring highly uniform plant growth, rapid entry into production, and high yield efficiency. It exhibits excellent compatibility. It is suitable for fertile and calcareous soils, thanks to its good resistance to iron chlorosis, and is characterized by high resistance to fire blight (Erwinia amylovora), tolerance to pear decline, and good resistance to winter cold. It represents a valid alternative to quince rootstocks in environments where high hardiness, vegetative uniformity, and production reliability are required.
