Jumbo
Among Actinidia species there is also Actinidia Arguta. It spontaneously grows in China and Russia: it is very rustic and resistant to cold, the fruit is a kiwi cluster, very little compared to classical ones. The small fruit is round and hairless, its skin is very thin and edible. Very good taste, rich in properties. There are different varieties that change for size of fruits and fertility.
Tree:
Its habit is very similar to classical kiwi: very vigorous plant with upright vines, it needs a support.
Editor:
Unpatented.
Flowering:
Earlier blossoming compared to standard kiwi. Approximately in May. Partially not self-fertile variety, it needs Cornell (or kiwi male in blossoming overlap) for pollination.
Maturation:
October, with a certain gradual maturity of the fruits.
Fruit:
Jumbo produces the largest fruits (10-30g), round with a lovely bright green skin, smooth and thin.
Taste:
Good and delicate taste.
