Giant Red


Reference variety for all cherry producers. Giant red (also called Prime Giant) kicked off medium-early ripening, but large-sized, cherries. Variety not self-fertile, it needs pollinators. It is not easy to manage as it has a non-linear growth and also the root system has a peculiar behavior. it’s consider a medium to weak variety.

Tree: Expanded habit and good productivity. Quick fruiting. Weak variety.

Taste: Sweet and firm.
