Krymsk ®5

(P.fruticosa x p. Iannesiana)

New rootstock compatible with sweet and sour cherries. It induces a vigor similar to Gisela® 6, with a high and early productivity, shortly after that induced by Gisela® rootstocks. It also has better anchoring and greater adaptability to heavy and humid soils (in which it can exhibit polloniferous activity), it resists well even in harsh climates and conditions with limited water availability. It requires a lower planting density than Gisela® and is more balanced. Krymsk®5 appears to be more tolerant of bacterial cancer.
