Tonda Romana
Tonda Romana is an Italian variety of very ancient origin, that constitutes one of the most planted varieties. This hazelnut costitutes many orchards in southern Italian region, in particular in Lazio (Rome). The nut is from medium to large, round shaped with light brown shell.

The tree has from moderate to low vigour, semi-erect growth habit and it has many suckers. Tonda Romana has moderate to high production potential.
