Prunus Persica
Old generation rootstock, obtained from seedling, is still widely used. They are heterogeneous plants, polyvalent (also very used for plum trees and apricots) with some common positive characteristics: excellent grafting affinity, induces high vigor and adapts to well-drained fresh soils, even sandy or pebbly as long as they are irrigated. It is not suitable for restoring in orchard previously cultivated with peach trees, nor in heavy and humid ones. It has a certain tolerance to nematodes and a moderate sensitivity to root cancer.
