VitroLeaf by Battistini

On May 6, 2024, the inauguration was held of VitroLeaf by Battistini, the new micropropagation laboratory of Battistini nurseries based in Cesena, which as of today represents the largest commercial laboratory in Europe, paving the way for an increasingly innovative and forward-looking agriculture. The company is also celebrating 75 years in business, marked by a strong sense of belonging to the territory.

We are looking at a high-tech, state-of-the-art building, designed down to the last detail to offer high productivity and efficiency with the goal of being able to reach 24 million plants per year produced in the next 5 years.

The most innovative element is definitely the VitroLeaf Tower: this is an in vitro culture room, not accessible by staff and totally robotic 8 meters high and 67 meters long that can hold up to 3.5 million seedlings in cultivation.
