Cocomerina


Ancient variety which is hard to find, with unknown origin, that was rediscovered in the high valley of Savio in province of Forlì – Cesena. The name "Cocomerina" is related to the flesh that takes an intense red colour which reminds watermelon.
Tree: Vigorous and productive tree.
Flowering: Very abundant. Intermediate.
Maturation: Nearly first decade of September.
Fruit: Fruit with ovoidal shape and medium-small size. The skin is green and tends to become red in maturation.
Taste: Its flesh is very sweet and fragrant, with a vague muscat and sorb smell.
