VitroLeaf by Battistini

On May 6, 2024, the grand opening of VitroLeaf by Battistini took place. This new micropropagation laboratory, part of the Battistini Nurseries based in Cesena, is now one of the most cutting-edge facilities in Europe, paving the way for increasingly innovative and forward-thinking agriculture. The company is also celebrating 75 years in business, marked by a strong sense of connection to the local community.

This is a highly technological and cutting-edge facility, designed down to the smallest detail to deliver high productivity and efficiency, with the goal of reaching an annual production of 24 million plants within the next five years.

The most innovative feature is undoubtedly the VitroLeaf Tower: it is an in vitro cultivation chamber—inaccessible to staff and fully automated—that is 8 meters high and 67 meters long, capable of holding up to 3.5 million seedlings in cultivation.
