The Great Green Wall

The Great Green Wall project stems from an option to stop the advance of desertification in Africa.

The goal is to create a barrier of trees nearly eight thousand kilometers long and fifteen kilometers wide that runs broadly across the African continent, from Senegal to the Indian Ocean.

Battistini nurseries is part of the project as a company producing plants of different species that will make up the green heritage of the areas involved.The Great Wall is proposed not only as an environmental project, but also as a great opportunity to support the economies of the states involved and the local communities concerned.

In fact, the project will involve 21 African countries and employ more than 10 million people.
